Have you read every business book?

And every professional and personal development book out there?

Have you taken all of the technical courses for your chosen career path?

Wondering what’s next on your path to growth?

Wondering Now What?

It’s time to implement and action on your learning, your greatest opportunity is to work with an executive coach.

I cannot tell you how many books I have read over the years. Let me correct that how many books I have “consumed” via audio and paper. An audiobook is such a simple and easy way to consume more content, isn’t it? I’ve taken so many courses over the years to show up as the more professional, knowledgeable and capable option I could be in order to serve my client’s needs.

After filling my shelves and my iPhone storage full of books, I realized that one of the most impactful experiences I have had in the past has been working with a coach. Someone to highlight my blind spots. Someone to challenge me when it comes to my views, biases, and what I may be avoiding that could serve my growth.

I like the idea and image of a “Thinking Partner.” In this case, a coach that builds a relationship based and partnership that has a strong bias towards the success of the coachee’s business and goals.

There truly is a powerful impact that can happen when you confide in someone about what it is that causes friction in the workplace, conversations that may not be handled in a productive manner and a form of communication that sells your ideas internally and externally. The work isn’t simple, but it is powerful with a diligent effort put towards your growth.

For many people, the next step in their careers is to commit to the self-reflective and deeper work that comes from a trusted advisor.

An executive coach is the “continuing education” for those who have long ago completed their university degrees and possibly their grad degrees. The challenges that many faces after the technical skills are in place are questions like:

“How do you come across in the workplace?”

“How effectively are you leading those on your team and within your business?”

“What shortcomings do you sense that you are unwilling to admit to others?”

“What are your core values and do you lead from them?”

Digging into these and many other questions can get to the heart of the matter so that massive transitions and improvements can happen. An incredible bonus to this work is that you will begin to love how you engage with your career, colleagues as a more integrated version of yourself.
